Record Attendance and Innovations Galore at America’s Honeywell Users Group Symposium 2014

More than 1300 customers, distributors, sponsors, and Honeywell leaders and engineers attended the America’s Honeywell Users Group Symposium 2014 held from June 2 through 6 in San Antonio, Texas. The overall attendance was 25 percent higher than the year before and meant a new record for the host. More than 475 companies from 36 countries turned the conference into an event with global character.

Pepperl+Fuchs announced THE BARRIER. Universal Barriers interface with Honeywell’s Universal I/O technology and were highlighted in Honeywell’s LEAP presentations. This groundbreaking device allows the replacement of several traditional modules by just a single multi-functional I/O module. Universal Barrier cabinets as well as HMI Virtualization solutions were prominently displayed in the knowledge center.

Experion Orion Console and LEAP introduced by Honeywell

Key themes for this year’s events focused on delivering information and improving collaboration. Honeywell announced its new Experion Orion Console, and also showcased a new approach called LEAP (Lean Execution of Automation Projects) that combines several proven technologies to help companies more quickly design, build, and start their plants. LEAP project services combine Universal I/O technology, virtualization, and cloud engineering to reduce risk and total automation costs by up to 30 percent.
